Position Title: Senior Level Embedded Software Developer

Location: Placentia, CA

Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 – $230,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RTL Networks considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Status: Full-time / On-site

Summary:

RTL Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Level Embedded Software Developer supporting NAVAIR.

Primary Responsibilities:

Essential responsibilities of the Senior Level Embedded Software Developer include, but are not limited to:

  • Proficiency in embedded programming languages such as C/C++
  • Experience using microprocessors (i.e.: ARM, PIC) and other embedded processors
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Operations Systems and Task Scheduling (INTEGRITY preferred)
  • Experience with Multi-threaded Application Development
  • Experience with developing kernel drivers
  • Experience in utilizing JTAG or other similar debugging interfaces
  • Ability to read electronic design/schematics
  • Past experience in working with and fault isolating prototype hardware.
  • Familiarity with Embedded Communications Protocols (i.e. I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Understanding of Software Lifecycle (Government Software Milestone experience preferred).
  • Holds (or has the ability to acquire) a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Avionics Systems.
  • Familiarity with Avionics Communications Protocols (MIL-STD 1553, ARINC 429).
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams - Hardware, Software, I&T, PMA, etc.
  • Experience developing towards DISA Secure Coding Standards, CERT, MISRA, or other related specifications.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. We will sponsor the clearance or upgrade to Top-Secret. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
